Engineer V Mechanical

This Engineering V Mechanical position requires experience in the design and operation of PWR and/or BWR plants, including secondary and primary systems. Candidates should have a strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to perform calculations and modifications, and a demonstrated ability to interface with equipment vendors and provide justification for modifications to safety and reliability standards. They are expected to work in independent judgment and present their findings to quality and safety reviews.

Requirements

• Experience in the design and/or operation of PWR and/or BWR plants.
• Past experience with feasibility studies and equipment reliability issues.
• Demonstrated use of independent judgment in calculations and modifications.
• Superior technical knowledge of mechanical discipline.
• Ability to work on project teams with other engineers.
• Experience with codes and standards applicable to the nuclear power industry.
• Familiarity with NRC and state/federal regulations.
• Client skills and understanding of the roles of other disciplines.
