Job Description
Zachry Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to work in the Houston Engineering office. The role involves planning, designing, and developing electrical construction drawings for various projects, including power stations and industrial plants, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards. The engineer will assist with field verification, documentation, and providing guidance to other engineers.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience as an Electrical designer
- Extensive experience with grounding, lighting and power design, cable tray, duct bank layouts, and grounding design
- Knowledge of NEC code and electrical industry standards
- Ability to utilize 2-D and 3-D CAD programs (AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D, MicroStation)
- Strong communication skills with the project electrical engineer
- Supervisory and detailing abilities
