Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist / Manager

Zap Energy is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist or Manager to join their team in developing a comprehensive safety culture and ensuring a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will have experience in occupational safety and health, environmental compliance, and sustainability, and be able to lead the team in developing effective root cause analysis and countermeasures.

Requirements

• Develop and support a comprehensive, empowered safety culture
• Build, administer, and instruct safety training, procedures, and compliance systems
• Partner with internal teams to achieve objectives and maintain a safe and compliant workplace
• Proactively engage with employees to better understand their concerns and work hazards
• Continually assess environment, health, and safety risks of Zap Energy operations
• Provide technical expertise in occupational safety and health, environmental compliance, and sustainability
• Drive thorough investigations for all incidents and accidents
• Keep up to date on regulatory requirements and industry trends
• Proactively plan for and share considerations with leadership for future facilities, processes, equipment, suppliers, and materials
