Southern Guyana Coordinator (gn)

Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) is seeking a Southern Guyana Coordinator to strengthen FZS Guyana's field operation in Southern Guyana. The position will be based in Lethem, Guyana, with frequent travels to remote protected areas in Guyana and the region. The coordinator will support the Protected Areas Commission in their management of the Kanuku Mountains Protected Area and provide technical and practical support to government agencies in the development and implementation of management systems.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in biology, environmental sciences, geography or a related field
• At least seven years of working experience in protected area management or nature conservation project management in South or Central America
• Proven experience in project and grant management, including proposal development, planning, budgeting and reporting
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
