Job Description
Abridge is seeking a Clinician Scientist to drive the development of its AI-powered clinician documentation tools. The ideal candidate is a Physician with strong technical expertise, blending clinical knowledge with AI and software development skills. They will help shape AI-driven documentation tools, ensuring models generate accurate, high-quality medical notes that enhance clinician efficiency and patient care.
Requirements
- MD, DO (or equivalent clinical degree) with direct experience working in clinical practice
- Strong technical experience/background in computer science, software engineering, machine learning, natural language processing, data science, and/or clinical informatics
- Deep understanding of medical documentation, clinical workflows, and medical terminology
- Ability to evaluate AI-generated clinical notes, provide structured feedback, and guide improvements
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7) and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
- Hands-on experience in clinical data validation and quality assessment
- Experience collaborating with engineers and product teams to build AI-powered clinical tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
