We are looking for a safety partner who brings more than technical knowledge; we need a relationship-builder who can adapt standards to the unique demands of geohazard mitigation and foster a deep-rooted safety culture across the Western US.
Requirements
- Operational Partnership: Collaborate with field operations to proactively identify and mitigate risks on complex, high-exposure job sites.
- Culture & Coaching: Lead field-level training and "in-the-trenches" coaching tailored to specific terrain, project exposure, and team maturity.
- Incident Investigation: Conduct rigorous root-cause analyses of safety incidents; drive organizational learning and policy adjustments based on real-world field input.
- Strategic Interface: Serve as the bridge between field crews, safety leadership, and clients to ensure standards are upheld and safety solutions are adopted.
- Training & Mentorship: Facilitate formal crew-level training, work toward becoming a certified OSHA Trainer, and present at internal company-wide meetings.
- Project Oversight: Own regional project scheduling and contribute to the development of Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and project startup protocols.
- Compliance Expertise: Build subject matter expertise in Worker's Compensation, Owner-specific compliance, and CPR/First Aid (Instructor-level).
