Residential Support Worker

We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join our team at Merryfields, a 14 bed Short Break Residential Service providing 24-hour care for 5- to 18-year-olds with moderate to severe learning disabilities. The role involves creating a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to grow and develop, and ensuring their wellbeing is prioritised by delivering personalised care, guidance, and advocacy.

Requirements

• Resilient and positive approach to change and challenge
• Demonstrable experience of working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust
• Application of a range of techniques to co-ordinate and communicate with service users and their families
• Solution focused approach to address problems, individually and in a team setting on a night shift
• Emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role
