The Sales Assistant contributes to achieving sales figures and KPI targets by building an emotional connection with customers, serving customers, selling, and conducting store operations with care.
Requirements
- Knows the store goals and individual goals and actively works to achieve or exceed them, using all available resources
- Meets or exceeds customer expectations and drives sales and brand awareness upwards by applying suitable elements of the customer profile
- Builds an emotional connection with every customer by presenting themselves as a passionate and enthusiastic brand ambassador
- Maintains an attractive and pleasant environment where customers want to shop and pays attention to visual merchandising, order, and cleanliness
- Adheres to the rules and procedures (SOM regulations) applicable to the store and maintains a safe shopping and working atmosphere
- Ensures that the product offer is available for the customer by helping to receive delivered goods and fill the sales area
- Minimizes losses by always paying attention to stock levels when serving customers
- Trains new employees (if applicable)
- Works productively and respectfully with team members to achieve store goals
- Completes all prescribed training programs and applies them successfully in their work
- Signals ongoing willingness to learn and uses all offered opportunities to advance their development and improve their performance
- Cashier activity (if applicable)
- Ensures correct payment procedures including careful handling of goods
- Conducts cash closures carefully
- Closes sales quickly and accurately and adheres to the given guidelines for securing the cash balance (if applicable)
- Endless Aisle (if applicable)
- Informs customers about the new order/ sales possibility in the online shop and uses the Endless Aisle tablet to offer product descriptions and/or customer feedback about products during the sales process.
- Click & Collect (if applicable)
- Monitors and oversees new online orders placed by online customers and reserved, packed, and handed over to customers in-store.
- Ship from Store (if applicable)
- Monitors and oversees new online orders to be shipped to customers.
