The Psychiatrist is responsible for diagnosing psychiatric illness and implementing pharmacological treatment. Provides psychiatric services to clients, assesses and treats individuals experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorder, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary medical and behavioral health team.
Requirements
- Medical degree conferred by an accredited college or university
- Board Certification and New York State licensure
- 24 Continued Medical Education (CME) credits per credentialing cycle (2 years)
- Healthcare Provider CPR/AED Certification
- Prior experience with IDD/ASD population
- Experience with community healthcare operations and familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Care organizations
- Strong oral, written, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party billing requirements
- Familiarity and ability to efficiently navigate EHR
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulatory requirements
- National Provider Identifier
- Child/adolescent or geriatric experience
