Job Description
Affirm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their backend team in Europe. The role involves owning and delivering quarterly goals, collaborating with stakeholders, and supporting the operations of the team. This is a fully remote position focusing on building and maintaining the foundational technical infrastructure for a large-scale financial settlement platform.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using Kotlin or Java.
- Experience with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
- Proficiency in SQL and working with data-rich environments.
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, or Chronosphere (nice to have).
- Background in payment systems and banking industry standards (nice to have).
