Job Description
Affirm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Backend team based in Europe. This role involves owning and delivering quarterly goals, leading engineers, and collaborating with product, treasury, and customer success teams. The focus is on building scalable systems with a focus on safety, accountability, and standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems using Kotlin or Java.
- Experience with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in SQL and working with data-rich environments.
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, or Chronosphere (nice to have).
- Background in payment systems and banking industry standards (nice to have).
- Strong communication skills.
