Job Description
AION Robotics is a rapidly growing startup manufacturing advanced, rugged autonomous ground vehicles. We are bringing Industry 4.0 to outdoor commercial jobsites through the scaled deployment of turnkey autonomous products fully automating infrastructure monitoring and inspection tasks. We are seeking a skilled and fast-moving Electrical Engineer with experience in embedded systems, power electronics, and sensor integration.
Requirements
- Design, layout, and bring-up of high-quality, manufacturable PCBs under tight deadlines
- Develop custom embedded carrier boards interfacing processors, sensors, and communication protocols
- Engineer smart fusing and MOSFET switching circuits for autonomous vehicle power distribution and protection
- Design robust power systems including step-down/up converters, overcurrent/undervoltage protection, and low-noise analog supply rails
- Integrate and validate MEMS sensors (IMUs, barometers, magnetometers, etc.) across digital buses
- Implement and troubleshoot high-speed and industrial data links including Gigabit Ethernet, CANbus, UART, and M.2-based modules
- Perform EMI-aware design practices, signal integrity analysis, and support for EMC testing and compliance
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and AI teams throughout the design lifecycle to ensure tight system integration
- Manage design reviews, documentation, and validation reports for both prototype and production-grade systems
