Job Description
Airtree is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their founding team in San Francisco. This is a unique opportunity to join a vibrant startup in the Australian-founded software infrastructure space, participate in a relocation package, and benefit from a visa sponsorship for eligible Australians. The role involves building and scaling backend systems, collaborating with product, and contributing to architectural design.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong expertise in Python, Go, Java, or similar
- Deep understanding of event-driven design, message queues, and asynchronous systems
- Experience with AWS/GCP and containerised environments
- Solid grasp of API design, data modelling, and database architecture
