Manages and directs engineering department resources and activities, including technical approval, policy development, and team management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8-10 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 6-8 years of experience
- At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
- Advanced skills with Mastercam, Gibbs Cam, Espree or other CAM software, and CNC machine programming, setup, and operations
- Ability to machine parts to specification of.1mm to.0005mm tolerances working from CAD files, mechanical drawings, and sketches
- Conversational knowledge of G-Code
- Advanced skills in workpiece fixturing
- Expertise calculating/estimating machine cycle times, determining cost effective operation sequences, machinability, and feasibility
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing knowledge
- Comprehensive understanding of Multi Axis milling, turning, grinding, cutting, EDM, etc. and detailed functional knowledge of most common machine shop tools and machines
