Job Description
Manages and directs engineering department resources and activities. Develops and recommends corporate engineering policies and procedures. Provides technical responsibility for planning, organizing and coordinating test procedures on current and future designs.
Requirements
- Previous CNC Machining Experience
- Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6-8 years of experience
- At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
- Advanced skills with Mastercam, Gibbs Cam, Espree or other CAM software, and CNC machine programming, setup, and operations
- Ability to machine parts to specification of.1mm to.0005mm tolerances working from CAD files, mechanical drawings, and sketches
- Ability to read, understand, and create technical mechanical drawings, sectional views, part notes, dimensions, and tolerances
- Conversational knowledge of G-Code
- Advanced skills in workpiece fixturing
- Expertise calculating/estimating machine cycle times, determining cost effective operation sequences, machinability, and feasibility
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing knowledge
- Comprehensive understanding of Multi Axis milling, turning, grinding, cutting, EDM, etc. and detailed functional knowledge of most common machine shop tools and machines
