Fundraising and Special Events Coordinator

ALS United Great New York's mission is to support and empower the ALS Community through a collaborative approach to fostering bold research initiatives, advancing national and state advocacy, and providing comprehensive care to individuals and families affected by ALS. Reporting to the Director, Fundraising and Special Events, the Coordinator, Fundraising and Special Events provides essential administrative, logistical, and creative support to ALS United Greater New York's fundraising events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-2 years of experience in fundraising, events, community engagement, marketing, or a related administrative role
• Experience with social media, communications, and/or donor cultivation a plus
• Highly skilled with Microsoft Office programs; Canva and/or Adobe Suite is preferred, ability to learn new software quickly
• Experience with Luminate Online, Raiser’s Edge, or other CRM/peer-to-peer fundraising tools strongly preferred
• Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; collaborative, diplomatic, and solutions oriented
• Comfortable working under pressure during peak event periods; team player with a positive, proactive attitude
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed for events
• Travel to/from events is required; valid driver’s license required
• Ability to lift boxes, set up tables, and perform physical tasks related to event preparation (indoor and outdoor environments)
