Network Engineer

Altagrove is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will bring expertise in wireless network engineering and a passion for implementing new ideas in a start-up environment. The role involves leading the installation, configuration, and optimization of shipboard Wi-Fi systems, troubleshooting and resolving Wi-Fi connectivity issues, and maintaining computer networks.

Requirements

• Highly proficient knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switches
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot BGP and OSPF routing protocols
• Knowledge and experience with MPLS/VPNs in a service provider environment
• Preferred experience with Aruba network solutions
• Experience with LAN infrastructure
• Experience Installing/Troubleshooting WAN circuits
• Experience designing and configuring QoS
• Expert knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP network technologies
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco IPsec
• Experience working with Network Management Systems
• Experience working in AWS or Azure Cloud
• Knowledge of SDN, SD-WAN technologies
• Must be proficient with both layer 2 and layer 3 networking concepts
• Must be familiar with network security concepts and best practices
• Must have in-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems
• Must have comprehensive understanding of network services and networks
• Must have the ability to analyze and evaluate networks
• Must have the ability to design, implement and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure
• Must maintain a Secret security clearance with Top Secret eligibility
• CCNA with a CCNP desired
• 5+ years of network administration/engineering experience within the DoD desired
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment desired
• US Citizenship required
