The Superintendent Asset Performance Optimization is responsible for embedding a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and field-driven performance enhancement across Ambatovy. They lead the site-wide deployment of lean practices and coordinate the operational performance analysis, ensuring data-driven identification of improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- In-depth understanding of asset management principles, standardization processes, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Performance monitoring and analysis (OEE, downtime, trends)
- Proven track record in delivering structured, sustainable improvement programs across departments
- Strong lean methodology (Kaizen, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, VMB)
- Coaching and facilitation of cross-functional teams
- High interpersonal maturity to lead horizontally and influence line ownership
- Natural field presence and coaching leadership style
- Strong sense of collaboration – works “through others” to enable performance
- A minimum 15 years in operations or industrial environments, with 7+ years in leadership roles focused on Lean deployment, team coaching, or plant performance improvement
- Experience in building and leading cross-functional field routines (5S, OEE, VMB)
