Job Description
The Senior Surveyor I position is an intermediate to advanced-level Surveyor role. It involves the examination and reporting on vessels and marine structures for classification and compliance with ABS and safety regulations. Responsibilities include administrative duties, monitoring business performance, and providing leadership to surveyors. The role requires a strong understanding of the relevant technical areas and ABS policies.
Requirements
- Qualifications from a tertiary institution within a relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum two (2) years program)
- Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant seagoing experience as a certificated ship officer (minimum 3 years of experience)
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in an Engineering or Survey Capacity with an IACS member Classification Society
