Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

American Home Health Care is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide physical therapy services under the direction of a Physical Therapist. The role involves performing direct physical therapy, treating patients for pain relief and functional restoration, and utilizing various therapeutic interventions. The position focuses on providing individualized care and adhering to established therapeutic plans.

Requirements

• Provides direct physical therapy according to the directions of the physical therapist and in accordance with the plan of care.
• Treats patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Instructs patients in the care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic devices.
• Maintains necessary records.
• Participates in interdisciplinary group and Organization In-service Education Programs.
• Participates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities.
