Python/R Developer

We are looking for a Python/R Developer to join our team. This is a 12-month contract position with potential to extend longer or convert to FTE. The position is hybrid, with a couple of days per week onsite in Jacksonville, FL. We offer tremendous career growth potential and a dynamic and well-respected organization.

Requirements

• Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures
• In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle
• Database knowledge in SQL, DB2/Netezza or SQL Server
• Excellent understanding of RESTful Architecture style
• Ability to take methodical approach to evaluate various libraries with pros and cons to meet business / technical requirements
• Excellent understanding of R and Python programming mode and required libraries
• Demonstrated experience working with REST APIs using Python
• Demonstrated experience processing batch files using Python
• Demonstrated experience developing scheduling of batch processes
• Proficiency using standard desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools such as Visio
• High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
