Job Description
Ankorstore is seeking a Staff Engineer to drive architectural thinking and contribute directly to key initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong ownership, broad impact, and the ability to move seamlessly from hands-on work to architectural guidance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in Staff+, Tech Lead, or equivalent senior IC roles
- Proven ability to design, evolve, and scale complex distributed systems
- Experience driving architectural initiatives inside fast-paced product organisations
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and domain modeling
- Strong hands-on proficiency in one or more of Ankorstore’s core backend languages (PHP, Golang)
- Demonstrated influence across multiple teams without formal authority
- Excellent communication skills—able to simplify and explain architecture to technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working in English
