Resident Engineer for Reliability and 3D Printing - Belgium (The Steel Printers)

The Steel Printers is a start-up incubated by ArcelorMittal R&D, focused on deploying innovative additive manufacturing technologies to enhance facility reliability and efficiency. The resident engineer will stimulate projects with ArcelorMittal Belgium, focusing on 3D printing production and identifying opportunities where additive manufacturing can deliver significant cost savings, quality improvement, or safety enhancements. They will liaise with various teams, coordinate prototyping, and provide technical support, creating value for ArcelorMittal Belgium.

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering (or a related field).
• Proficiency in professional Dutch and English (oral and written).
• First experience in a technical role upstream or downstream.
• Competent in understanding and analysing needs.
• Curiosity, hunter mentality, and strong motivation for problem-solving.
• Interpersonal skills and experience in relationship management.
• Genuine interest in technology (knowledge of metallic 3D printing is a plus).
