Director of Religious Education

The Director of Religious Education (DRE) leads and administers all parish religious education and faith formation programs, including children’s catechesis, sacramental preparation, adult faith formation, and family catechesis.

Requirements

• Practicing Catholic in good standing
• Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Education, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Catechetical certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong knowledge of Catholic doctrine, sacraments, and Church teaching
• Experience in catechesis, teaching, or parish ministry preferred
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and record-keeping skills
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and parish management tools
