Middle School Teacher - Social Studies & Religion

The Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation is a coalition of schools that provide a higher quality education and a welcoming community to over 50,000 students (PreK-12). The Middle School Social Studies & Religion Teacher is responsible for providing engaging instruction in social studies and faith-based instruction rooted in the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Theology, Religious Studies, Social Studies, History, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
• Valid state teaching certification or eligibility/willingness to obtain certification
• Strong knowledge of Catholic doctrine, Scripture, and moral theology, as well as social studies content
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, committed to modeling faith in action
• Experience teaching middle school students or working with adolescents preferred
• Strong classroom management, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to the mission, philosophy, and values of Catholic education
• Completion of diocesan or Archdiocesan compliance requirements, including Safe Environment training and background checks
