Job Description
The Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation is seeking a dedicated Religion Teacher to lead students in deepening their understanding of the Catholic faith, scripture, sacraments, and Church traditions. The role involves curriculum planning, classroom management, spiritual guidance, and community involvement. The position is rooted in the Archdiocese's mission of spiritual formation and serving the community.
Requirements
- Practicing Catholic in good standing
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, or a related field
- Catechist certification through the Archdiocese of St. Louis or willingness to obtain
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
- Passion for working with children and helping them grow in faith, character, and academics
- Completion of Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment requirements
- Criminal background check
- Family Care Safety Registration
- Drug screen
- Employment and educational licensure/certification verification
