The Quality Assurance Technician role is a technical position within the Quality organization and reports to the QFS Manager. The QA Technician will support the implementation and enforcement of the Quality and Food Safety Management System requirements throughout all of the manufacturing process in order to ensure compliance with the company policies, FDA cGMP, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Two (2) year associates degree in a science related field (Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, etc.) or 3-5 years food or beverage manufacturing QA experience working in a production environment
- Follow all company policies, cGMP, Food Safety, FDA, USDA, GFSI, FSMA, OHSA Safety regulations, QMS and SOP / SSOPs.
- Must have strong quality and food safety technical skills and problem solving / organizational skills (cGMPs, basic microbiology including swabbing, IPM, hygienic design, and sanitation).
- Ability to read written Instruction, SOP, SSOP and write production quality reporting on documentation or in computer data base programs
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Strong communication skills including written and verbal communication of technical results
- Demonstrated capacity to excel in a fast-paced work environment
- Proficient in computer processes and Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs and walk/stand throughout shift
