Job Description
Ardagh Metal Packaging (AMP) is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to identify, maintain, and rework shell, lane, and tab die tooling. The role involves working in a team environment, operating hand tools, and meeting production standards. This position requires the ability to troubleshoot defects and prioritize work effectively.
Requirements
- Identify problems in a timely manner
- Operate a surface grinder, lathe, polishing wheel, drill press, hand tools and mill
- Determine tooling rework needs and prioritize work
- Rework/rebuild tab feeders
- Indicate tooling stack heights and set-up dies
- Read and understand engineering drawings
- Ability to machine process equipment parts to print
- Ability to use and read depth micrometer’s, dial indicators, height gauges, callipers and micrometer’s
- Ability to self-manage workloads and standard assigned Duties
- Ability to make decisions when troubleshooting material defects from potential compromised tooling
- Ability to multi-task
- Willingness to work night shift
- Ability and willingness to work overtime
