The Director Research will lead a team of researchers in addressing critical issues related to women's economic empowerment and inclusive development. The role involves providing strategic direction to the organization's research agenda, ensuring methodological rigor, fostering partnerships, and supporting evidence-based policymaking.
Requirements
- PhD in Gender Studies, Public Policy, Sociology, Development Studies, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in applied or action research, with significant exposure to gender or inclusion-focused projects.
- Proven track record in designing and executing large-scale research projects.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience engaging with policymakers, funders, and practitioners.
- Experience working in India or South Asia, particularly on livelihoods, gender, labor participation, or related areas.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-stakeholder research initiatives.
- Familiarity with mixed-methods or participatory research approaches.
- Understanding of monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems.
- Strategic thinker with a commitment to evidence-based policymaking.
