Job Description
The Assistant Branch Librarian supports the Branch Librarian in the successful operation of an individual library branch, overseeing activities, staff, maintenance, programs, and assuming responsibility in the Branch Librarian's absence.
Requirements
- Master's degree in library and information science from an ALA accredited school
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Willingness to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, and otherwise move books, audio-visual items, and equipment by hand and cart
- Strong computer skills for daily work with library resources and mobile technology
