Job Description
The Director, Innovation & Market Research is responsible for covering key sectors and companies for Assurant, providing thought leadership and research to support the company's overall strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience in investment banking, equity analysis, or fixed income, with a focus on the automotive retail, manufacturing, or auto insurance sectors.
Requirements
- 5+ years of fundamental market research covering a specific sector
- Experience covering automotive retail, automotive manufacturing, and/or auto insurance
- Formal credit or equity training at a buy side or sell side firm
- MBA and/or CFA Charter (or progress towards)
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
- Courage and conviction to advocate for potential opportunities and risks
- Proven analytic skills to identify trends and quantify potential impacts and opportunities
- Well-honed interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with numerous work teams
- Good organizational skills and ability to complete multiple complex tasks in a timely fashion
