Sr. Privacy Counsel

This job is responsible for partnering with Assurant’s Global Privacy Office leadership for drafting, reviewing and negotiating vendor and client data processing agreements. The role is remote and offers the opportunity for the right hire to take ownership and accountability for projects with developed skills/experience.

Requirements

• Draft, review and negotiate data processing agreements
• Monitor and analyze emerging privacy and data protection guidance, opinions, trends and legislation
• Advise company personnel on routine legal issues, trends, and risks related to data processing agreements
• Prepare risk memos/presentations for delivery to Assurant stakeholders
• Foster strong working relationships with business leaders, in-house business attorneys and Compliance Team
