Job Description
Aurora Behavioral Healthcare San Diego is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Psychiatry unit. The role involves providing general and psychiatric nursing care to adults with emotional or psychiatric disorders, promoting patient health and rehabilitation, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Nurses will focus on patient care, symptom management, and discharge planning.
Requirements
- Current California Registered Nurse License
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse (PMHN) HIGHLY preferred
- 1 year RN Psychiatric experience HIGHLY preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support ) Certification for Healthcare Providers following the American Heart Association guidelines
- Strong leadership skills and critical thinking
- Knowledge of abnormal psychology
- Familiarity with Psychopharmacy
- Basic teaching and training skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Crisis intervention skills
