As the first newly constructed psychiatric hospital in Northern California in more than 30 years, this hospital offers 117 inpatient acute psychiatric beds, an outpatient treatment center, and a procedures clinic providing electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) and other interventional psychiatry services. We offer a full range of individualized treatment services, adults, and senior adults, including treatment for mental health and co-occurring (mental health and substance abuse) disorders. Additional services include mental health and substance abuse screening, assessment, crisis intervention, consultation, education, and individual and group counseling.
Job Description
Aurora Santa Rosa Hospital is seeking a full-time Inpatient Psychiatric Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, safe care to psychiatric inpatients in a state-of-the-art facility. This RN will deliver direct patient care, coordinate care with other nursing personnel, and implement multidisciplinary treatment plans. The role requires expertise in psychiatric diagnosis, medication administration, and adherence to safety standards. Santa Rosa Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is a critical part of the greater Santa Rosa mental health system.
Requirements
- Current California RN License
- Current CPR certification (or obtained within initial orientation)
- Knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and associated risks, medications, biological systems
- English proficiency
- Ability to perform physical interventions (restraint, de-escalation), code blue/emergency interventions, and infection prevention
