Job Description
The Aurora Chaldon School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a SEND secondary school in Surrey for young people aged 11-16. This position offers the opportunity to work at the start of their learning journey and support children with social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing, utilizing a positive behaviour management approach. The school focuses on small classes, high classroom support and a multi-disciplinary intervention team.
Requirements
- GCSE Maths and English qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent
- Experience of working within a relevant SEND Provision
- Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
- Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour
- Experience working within a multi-cultural, inclusive setting
