Work under general direction and guidance of the Department Manager/Supervisor. The Inventory Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing efficient movement and cycle counting of material from receiving to the warehouse to production.
Requirements
- High School diploma with 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing related work
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills
- Physically able to walk long distances and lift up to 35lbs.
- Experienced using Oracle Applications or related ERP System
- Proficiency in use of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with a proficiency in English
- Good planning, time management, and organization skills
- A fundamental understanding of constraints such as space, capacities, and materials movement
- Demonstrated understanding of material presentation and flow
- Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies
- Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor
- The willingness and ability to work with others
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule as required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or strongly related field with 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing related work
- Experience in a company that has a lean mindset and practices continuous improvement
- Ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex problems. Ensure solutions align with the organizations objectives
- Ability to prepare appropriate reports
