Data Engineer

BAT is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team in Monterrey, Mexico. The role will involve designing and implementing scalable ETL pipelines, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers, and driving advanced analytics and machine learning projects.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a similar corporate role with a proven track record of delivering business results and analyzing sales performance data
• Hands-on experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn) and familiarity with the Anaconda suite for data analysis and visualization
• Proficiency in cloud and big data tools, such as Azure Databricks or Microsoft fabric, Spark, PySpark, and SQL, or equivalent technologies on other stacks
• Expertise in data visualization and reporting tools, including Power BI and MicroStrategy, for creating dashboards and self-service reporting solutions
• Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, with an understanding of AI and machine learning models to support advanced analytics projects
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of overcoming technical limitations and delivering actionable insights
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams, learn quickly, and manage multiple priorities in an Agile environment
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field, with advanced English proficiency (written and verbal)
