Job Description
BBPOS is seeking a Senior Battery Supplier Quality Engineer to oversee the quality control of batteries used in their payment devices and POS readers. The role involves ensuring battery specifications are met, conducting supplier audits, and driving corrective actions. This position is an extension of the Stripe Terminal team, focused on making it easier for businesses to accept in-person payments.
Requirements
- Review Battery datasheets and ensure correct selection of materials.
- Work with engineers and supplier to establish battery performance and reliability.
- Conduct audits of battery suppliers.
- Develop process quality plans and failure analysis plans.
- Manage projects and leverage problem-solving tools (design of experiments, root cause analysis).
- Analyze failure modes and develop preventive actions.
- Manage test coverage and measure battery performance.
- Travel to supplier locations (up to 80%) domestically.
- Fluent in computer skills and basic understanding of engineering principles.
