Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will work with a team of talented developers to create and maintain the data infrastructure and processes that power the internal and external facing business intelligence to drive Beam's mission.

Requirements

• 2+ years utilizing Python and SQL to develop data intensive applications or insights
• 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer using Python and SQL, working in a primarily Python codebase
• Experience working on production-level data systems in a collaborative team environment
• Proficient with Python and SQL
• Proficient with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• Familiar with fundamental development principles and processes such as observability, performance optimization, continuous integration, automated testing, and cloud infrastructure
• Familiar with distributed computing architecture, data warehouse and data lake storage patterns

Benefits

• Expected annual compensation range: $154,000-181,500 USD
• Base salary $140,000-165,000 USD
• Up to 10% annual bonus based entirely on individual performance
