High School Social Studies Teacher

BelovED Community Charter School is hiring a High School Social Studies Teacher to join their Humanities Department. The school emphasizes a research-based curriculum that blends historical, English, and current events with literacy skills and promotes critical thinking. The ideal candidate will hold New Jersey Department of Education certifications and demonstrate strong writing, intervention, and differentiation skills.

Requirements

• Holds or plans to pursue New Jersey Department of Education High School teaching certification
• Strong knowledge of best practices in Writing
• Understanding of and application of NJSS ELA Companion Standards
• Understanding of and application of effective strategies for classroom intervention and differentiation
• Familiarity with student strengths and needs
