Job Description
We are seeking a Data Engineer to proactively optimize database performance, guarantee data quality through well-architected ETL processes, and resolve complex data-related challenges. You will serve as the subject matter expert for all aspects of data storage, processing, and retrieval, owning the performance, integrity, and reliability of the organization's database systems and data pipelines.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Azure SQL and proficiency with database management tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Hands-on experience with ETL orchestration tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SSIS for designing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines
- Proven skills in query performance analysis and optimization, including indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and query refactoring
- Familiarity with database monitoring and observability tools (Datadog preferred) for proactive performance management
- Solid understanding of data modeling, relational database design, and best practices in data governance, integrity, and security
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in troubleshooting complex database performance and reliability issues
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, to operate in a global environment
