Intermediate Mechanical Designer

We are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Designer to join our Mine Hoist Division. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and documentation of mine hoisting systems, and support project coordination across multiple active engagements. The role will involve working closely with internal engineering teams to maintain accurate technical records and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

• Develop and review mechanical drawings, scope of work documents, and bill of materials.
• Perform design and drafting using AutoCAD, Inventor, and Microstation in accordance with industry standards.
• Conduct site visits for data collection, verification, and documentation.
• Complete QAQC reviews and maintain accurate technical records.
• Follow industry standards and codes as instructed.
• Document work and maintain basic technical records.
• Represent BESTECH professionally with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Support client meetings and gather technical requirements for automation solutions.
• Assist with technical content for proposals and design packages.
• Communicate project updates and contribute to building positive client relationships.
• Manage time commitments between projects
• Plan and execute assigned tasks, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Track time and contribute to documentation such as progress reports and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams for effective project delivery.
• Identify issues and recommend solutions to support successful outcomes.
• Participate in training and certification programs.
• Attend relevant industry workshops and seminars.
• Mentor and train junior designers.
• Seek feedback and guidance from senior designers and engineers.
• Develop expertise in specific technical areas.
• Engage in learning opportunities to develop technical and professional skills.
