Mechanical Engineer

Spencer Engineering, a division of BESTECH, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the engineering of mechanical components of mine hoisting systems. The role involves performing calculations, supporting design development, and leading small-to-medium scale projects. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Requirements

• 4+ years of related experience
• A degree in mechanical engineering
• Registered with PEO and holds a Professional Engineering License (P.Eng), or equivalent in Canada
• Knowledge of industry best practices, codes, and regulations
• Familiarity with Autodesk drafting and design software tools
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites applications
• Strong analytical skills
• Intermediate project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high quality work
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and sustainable design practices
• Valid Drivers License
• Valid Passport
• Ability to travel in North America up to 25% of time
