Job Description
BETA is seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer to join their team and contribute to designing and developing contracts. The role involves traffic analysis, signal sequencing, and construction staging. Opportunities for growth and advancement are available, including project management and advancement to senior positions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- 4+ years of related engineering experience in traffic and transportation projects
- Fundamentals in Engineering (FE / EIT) certification
- Demonstrated strong background in traffic and transportation engineering
- Proficiency in Synchro/SimTraffic (Vissim experience is advantageous)
- Experience working with AutoCAD Civil3D and Microstation OpenRoads
- Knowledge of MUTCD, AASHTO and MASSDOT design policy guidelines and requirements
- Must be able to collect field data and measurements
- Must be able to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to perform field work in both hot and cold weather
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
