Job Description
BETA Technologies is revolutionizing electric aviation with a mission of sustainability and innovation. They are seeking a Lead Composites Design Engineer to lead the design and development of primary and secondary composite airframe structures, guiding a team and overseeing tooling from conceptual to detailed design. This role focuses on optimizing design with manufacturability and cost-effectiveness while adhering to industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 10+ years of composite structures design experience in aerospace
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (3DExperience or CATIA/ENOVIA preferred)
- Experience in composite structural concepts, including self-stiffened skins, frame construction, and sandwich skin/frame design
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor design engineers
- Strong leadership and communication skills
