Job Description
VIPcare is seeking a medical assistant to provide administrative and clinical support to patients. The role focuses on patient care, assisting physicians with examinations and procedures, and maintaining patient records. VIPcare emphasizes a supportive team environment with a commitment to better health and patient outcomes. The position is safety-sensitive, involving direct patient care and medication administration.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Accredited Medical Assistant program (RMA or CMA)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- CPR certification (preferred)
- IV Start Certification (preferred)
- Phlebotomy experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical coding (preferred)
- Knowledge of HIPPA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations (preferred)
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent telephone and switchboard etiquette
- Working knowledge of common prescription medications
