Job Description
BGIS is seeking a Junior Interior Designer intern to assist with design projects and planning services. This role involves research, material selection, CAD drawings, and presentation of design concepts to meet client needs and consider cost, budget, and environmental factors. The intern will work collaboratively with internal and external staff and support the development of design options, sample boards and drawings.
Requirements
- Working towards a College or University Degree in Interior Design.
- Interior design and documentation expertise.
- Awareness of building issues, building and safety codes, relevant products, and LEED.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and related software, MS project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Intern member with Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) or equivalent certification.
