Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear Pipe Stress

Black & Veatch is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear Pipe Stress to be a technical specialist or lead in the Mechanical Piping team. The role involves performing stress analysis, coordinating work with international teams, preparing purchase specifications, and expanding knowledge in various engineering disciplines. The position supports U.S. Federal Government projects, requiring a U.S. citizenship requirement.

Requirements

• Perform, verify, and direct others to perform piping stress analysis to ensure conformance to ASME Section III, ASME B31.1, and associated ASME Standards.
• Detailed stress analysis of metallic piping, evaluating conditions such as elevated temperature service, piping loads, and pulsation.
• Coordination with internal and external teams on complex projects.
• Prepare purchase specifications and administer pipe support purchase orders.
• Actively seeks to understand client interests through normal client contact and interaction with project leadership.
