The RN Supervisor seeks to ensure the delivery and documentation of optimum health care services to all persons living in the residential settings as well as the daily preservation of each person’s need for, and right to knowledgeable, compassionate care, marked by dignity and respect for the uniqueness of each person’s life.
Requirements
- Use discretion and independent judgment involving the comparison and evaluation of possible courses of conduct.
- Has the authority to waive or deviate from established rules or policies, but will always keep open the lines of communication of such issues with their direct supervisor and/or upper administration, as this makes for best business practices.
- Supervise all residential nursing staff in carrying out their duties as per OPWDD, Block Institute, and generally acceptable nursing procedures.
