Maintenance Technician - Per Diem

Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide day-to-day maintenance for its buildings and grounds. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, hands-on experience, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or relevant technical school certification
• Knowledge of OSHA and facilities maintenance in a healthcare setting
• Experience in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tiling, locks, painting, grounds keeping, and cleaning/janitorial
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to climb and descend stairs, basement, and through roof of Jean Yawkey Place
• Ability to bend and stoop, sit and stand for long periods of time
